Hillside is an unique detached cottage located in Lower Kilchatten on the beautiful Island of Colonsay. Built in 2013, using stone from the original croft, it fits perfectly into its surroundings. There is an abundance of walking and cycling opportunities. A fabulous base for couples to explore the nearby beaches, hills and sea cliffs.
The property is all laid out on one level, with oak flooring running throughout. You’ll find a bright spacious open plan living area with a large floor to ceiling window, and a door, opening onto a delightful south facing patio area with fantastic panoramic views towards the hills and sea.
The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge, dishwasher, microwave and electric oven and hob. There is a large dining table that is perfect for home cooked meals and spreading out maps, so as to plan the next day’s adventure or perhaps you may feel inspired to make a sketch of the beautiful view from the window.
The lounge area has a wood burning stove, perfect for relaxing after a day on the beach or a run over the MacPhee’s. There is original art on the walls, featuring a number of local artists work, that can be purchased from the local Galleries.
The spacious double has a king-sized-bed with an en-suite bathroom. A bright room with high ceilings, it has a window positioned so that from the bed you can see Loch Fada and the local hills.
The second twin bedded room has an adjoining shower room.
In addition there is a utility room with drying area, washer dryer and freezer. There is also a useful entrance space, with a shoe rack and coat hooks and an open porch.
